Mrs. Sup also cooks batches of "muttloaf" for our dogs. Very careful that any treats are not from China.

We keep having to change up the recipe, my GSD turns her nose up if she gets the same thing two days in a row.
After what happened with the turkey jerky, we've started buying American only, we call it Puppy Crack, they're so addicted to it.
I'm finally getting through to her that dogs are scavengers and can eat virtually anything, but live primarily on meat protein, so I'm getting her off this kick of adding a shit load of vegetables, let them have the protein.

Her base is white chicken and then processed with some carrots, fresh spinach, a couple of cans of green beans and fresh garlic. She then bakes it in large pans. Then cut into blocks and frozen until needed. It is served mixed with some Royal Canin dry food. They have been on this for several years and still love it.

I'll have to give it a shot. My brother knows the distributor for the WestCoast to all the big retailers, he gives him all the top dog food brands in the world, no Purina shit, nothing like that, so we get about a two year supply every 6 months and wind up giving most away.
Thing is, some of this food is $60.0 for a 28 lb bag, and still they turn their nose up. but offer them Kalkan and they act like a toddler getting a happy meal.

She also includes regular oatmeal. If the mixture is too dry she will add some chicken broth.

Same here, anything to make it go further, especially since my Shepard is now two and running at Mach 10, she puts in between 3 to 6 miles everyday up and down the mountain. I drive.
