Title: Bill for having one pacemaker implant put in.
Post by: walkstall on December 05, 2012, 08:18:30 PM
The good wife had a pacemaker implant put in the bill for that was   $37013.23
With one day stay in the hospital.  (22.5 hrs.)

She was out for 3 week and C. Difficile showed up from the Antibiotic from the implant.  She had go into the emergency room and was in the hospital for 6 day.  At a cost of $3900.40.  About 8 people per 1000 will get the infection that have antibiotics in the hospital.   Wished someone had told us about that at the time of the implant.   As she was thinking it was a reaction from the flu shot.

So the good news is she is alive and home now for 3 weeks now.  ( she is now telling me what to do.)  So she doing great.

Obviously you said this under duress or fear of reprisal.
OK, I'll play along to keep you safe

Glad she's fine, now maybe you two can agree on a room temp for a change?
I know when my heart screws up, I overheat in 20 degree weather.
Seriously though, glad all is finally good in the Tall household....

They say hers is good for 10 + years.  Then she will need a new one.

My old neighbor had a delib put in about 10 years before we moved.  They could check it and adjust it over the phone as needed.
