Spent last weekend doing the final stuff for full winterizing at the cabin... camper is pulled, all things are put up in the moveable shed to be pulled  to high ground when he gets back.  Himself is leaving for deer hunting tomorrow, back Sunday. I'm supposed to go to a 5oth suprise party down there, but--- I really dont fancy driving thru serious corn country first gun season..... it's a bit scarey...
ah well back to it,,, all things hunting gear are ready to be packed, regular stuff is ready to be packed.
Oh we had 2 idiots try n bust into our box truck at the shop last night. We keep aluminum in it... they successfully cracked an all ready broken window even more, then locked themselves out of the thing without even knowing it.....
Now he's thinking some sort of bar structure to keep em out. I believe  we need another shop dog myself...

Were these two caught? Specificity in number suggests you at least have clues to who did it.

I absolutely agree on "serious corn country (during the) first (of) gun season."  ;)  Scary ain't a bad word at all, considering the city bohunks who shoot at cows, birds, whatever, and that bullet can come down ANYWHERE. At least the archer-hunters can't bag a driver, a mile away.

If it's any consolation, up my way we too have deer hunters, and we also have about a dozen people killed every year in Michigan when a tire comes off a car and becomes a flying missile. Had one just a week ago or so in Detroit, on a freeway, where no cornstalks were in sight. (Probably no deer, either. Traffic runs 'em off.)

Packin' up is not much fun. My sympathies!  :(

no they weren't caught... they got scared away by night duty across the way. My shop dog would seriously eat em. She doesn't do strangers at all, and sometimes she goes after people she knows who are not dressed in work clothes, lol. Hopefully next time they show up it will be when the coyotes are visiting in the night...
He doesnt come home with those kind of stories... mostly about big cats in the area... cougars are gettin thick in
So Illinois.   We had one that got 4 cars on I-80, big old buck, that was friday.  They are in my little town here, saw 2 across from the post office... Deer are nuts now. Especially down to the cabin .
