This is the entry to my parents property....That sweet little creek that ran under the bridge...
Mom refused to leave the house and my sister and brother in law almost couldn't get up to take care of her. (She has had several strokes and is in a wheelchair.)
This was taken by me, sitting right here at my computer 2 days ago. It has been raining here for 4 days. The water is about a foot higher than this now. About 3 inches from my back gate.

From the back porch.

I live on the Big River in Jefferson County Missouri. We were on the news yesterday. We were on CNN in 2008. When the river is in it's banks it's about 30 feet downhill from my back yard. It's on it's way down now.
Good to hear it is receding and that you and your property are ok.
My parents had receded by the next morning and my brother in law had to get out there with the tractor to remove all the debris and fix a chunk of road that had disappeared. Good thing my sister didn't try going through with the car.
