Trump Loading Lower Courts
« on: July 06, 2018, 05:15:41 AM »
https://www.ajc.com/news/local/trump-packs-influential-atlanta-court-with-conservative-judges/Yhbacu8m1stN9gwTEXcgwK/

Another feel good story that is not being reported by the MSM. Trump is loading up the appeals court in ATL with conservatives. The story indicates there is another conservative in waiting as Flake is holding up the nomination. He will not be missed in the senate.

And the LSM ignores it at their own peril. The libs won't know what hit them when all of a sudden courts start overturning their BS that's been going on for years.
Trump is proof the GOP has been either sleeping at the helm or purposely turning a blind eye to the drive the left has been implementing to take over the country.
Decade after decade we've watched as the gop'E gave away everything to the left. Remember when Bush gave Teddy the schools?
Trump and playin that shit!

And from what I've seen he's making some excellent choices.
Repeal the 16th and 17th amendments and start taking back control of our government(s), spending and debts.

How could Trump possibly pack the courts when both he and Obama have 2 SC confirmed with 0 vacancies, assuming Ginsburg will remain on life support until he's gone.  Obama also had 55 confirmed to the Court of Appeals, leaving 40 vacancies which so far Trump has had 29 confirmed with 7 of the 11 remaining vacancies still pending confirmation. Obama had 268 confirmed to the District Courts, leaving 161 vacancies which Trump has had 53 confirmed so far, and 48 pending for the remaining 108 vacancies. Then the Court of International Trade, which Obama had 4 confirmed leaving 2 vacancies for Trump to have confirmed.

Obama filled 329 Article III Court positions, and as of now Trump could only fill 205 total unless more vacancies occur before he leaves office.

Welcome Individual, good to see stats used correctly.
The only reason they're claiming he's packing the court is, because they see their leftist agenda being swept out like like Spring cleaning a cave that hasn't seen the light of day in 3 plus decades.
Reversing leftist course to leftists is like making a preteen take of the slutty clothes and washing the makeup off her face, she's too stupid to understand the consequences of her actions at 8 years old.

Keep in mind Obama made these appointments in eight years. Assuming the GOP maintains a majority in the senate Trump will have many more opportunities. I would not be surprised to see Thomas retire so Trump could replace him with a younger justice.

No different than what the Democrats would do if they were in power. I'm hoping Trump will be able to replace Ginsburg at a minimum. It is my opinion that there should be but one interpretation of our Constitution, based upon the original intent with any changes as a result of the amendment process, in clear and concise modern language that everyone, including the Justices could understand to have but one interpretation. And that interpretation should be taught identically on our school systems. Changes to our Supreme law, affecting all citizens and States should initiate with the people and take place as a result of a major consensus of the same, not just a simple majority or even 60% of our representatives alone.

Ginsburg and Breyer will not retire as long as Trump is in office.

But until they do, there are a number of unfilled vacancies for Trump to fill. Would you prefer he leave some for the next Democrat President?

Are you suggesting Trump is not trying to fill these vacancies? I believe there are a number pf appointments awaiting senate confirmation.

Not at all, he currently has 57 awaiting confirmation, and 64 vacancies remaining to find suitable nominees.
