Very Well said.  I have been shot, and I have been stabbed.  I have also been beaten half to death. I'd be hard pressed to tell you which I would prefer, since they all hurt like Hell.  I was shot where vitals come in to play.  I was stabbed in a less critical area.  The knife hurt worse, but probably because it got infected.  None of it was a "party".
The only instance where I could see that denying the 2nd to someone would be justified would be a criminal who uses weapons in the commission of other crimes, i.e. Armed Robbery, Rape, etc.

Thank you for your comment. I am very sorry that you have had to endure so much. We agree on the denial of the 2nd Amendment right only in the case of a violent criminal.

I would have to ask, why is the violent criminal walking the streets?

The 2nd shouldn't be an issue, they should either be in prison or hung. Just my two cents.

That's because Great Minds Think Alike.
Don't be sorry.  It was the Avenue I chose when I became an Armed Bodyguard.  In fact, most of that happened in service to my fellow citizens.  I was fortunate enough to be blessed with size, strength and tenacity.  With great power, comes great responsibility.  I was honored to serve my fellow Americans in such fashion.
With people like you on board, I still have hope for America.

#1 is ridiculous beyond belief.  In Leftern WA state, it is considered a gross misdemeanor if a person fails to comply with a fish census taker. Meaning, if you refuse to answer their questions, you stand to pay a $1,000 fine and/or one year incarceration. Amd mind you, said fish sensus taker does not have the power of arrest, and is usually a college student. So, in Leftern WA state, if you choose to walk away from a fish census taker, even though you didn't catch a single fish, the penalty as exactly the same for anyone in Leftern WA state who is cited for DUI!

On the other hand, I do believe that anyone who commits any type of unprovoked assault on another person resulting in injury or death, should be denied the ability to own a firearm.
