This is a very informative list I found.. Counting down 10 recent executive orders and legislation that are coming together to completely destroy the integrity of the US Constitution

Pat yep, those are violations of the Constitution. The thing about that is this however. It will only continue and get worse, so long as the people keep electing to high office, men and women like Boehner, Clinton, Obama etc...

The me generation knows very little about what is going on.

They do rely on the power of suggestion though.

TN in a way you are right. Lincoln's emancipation proclamation was technically unconstitutional.

It was even ruled as such by the Supremes. So was Jackson's force march of the Cherokee Indian nation for example.

But, in both the POTUS basically ignored the Constitution and the court and did what they wanted anyhow.

So whats my point? My point is that it is not the Congress or the Supremes we should be relying upon to see to it that our government operates within the rules.

WE ourselves should be doing that, when we go to the polls and cast our votes.

Link doesn't work anymore. However, I've been doing some digging and researching... FDR is maybe the most overrated president in history. He put in numerous unconstitutional laws into place and it seems that is the start of a nanny state of America.

From everything I have seen and personally believe, any welfare program/handout is unconstitutional and our founding fathers warned us against programs such as those. The New Deal was argued several times for being unconstitutional.

This nanny state is getting so bad that I heard someone a while back send a link to a "basic income". Give very American 10k that makes under 100k and remove all other welfare programs. My response was "it's communist".

I do not disagree with you about FDR. However, his timing was fortunate. The stock market had crashed in 1929 and the economy was in a deep depression in 1932. The country was desperate and ready for a change, any change. FDR filed the bill at the time. My father got a job with the Associated Press in the early thirties and he stayed there for forty years. He was so grateful for that job and became a loyal southern democrat. He finally saw the light and voted for Nixon in 1968. FDR took advantage of the situation. He did not resolve the depression, the Japanese did on 12/7/1942. That unleashed the American economy. However, gladly took credit for getting the US economy out of recession.
