Dont need to know

Long winded.
The 18th amendment was reason for the following reasons:

1) instead of promoting welfare it was enforcing it.  Government can tax for general welfare but can not make laws of such.
2) the constitutional amendments can not be used to take rights of the people.
3) the constitutional amendments can not be used to give more power to government over the people.
4) not only did it destroy the economy in less than a decade it went against congresses requirement of promoting the sciences.

With the prohibition of alcohol not only did it make way for the gasoline industry to boom but it also put a stop to the alcohol engine which is cleaner, more fuel efficient, and had a better power ratio.

With the prohibition of hemp not only did it make it possible for the cotton industry to flourish ( big pharma actually owns the cotton seed now ) but it negated the ability for the medicinal purposes of marijuana.  The price of rope, twine, and thread ended up going up significantly.

Today mich like in 1933 at the end of prohibition they were experimenting with a bio-degradable plastic made from hemp and soy.

So all you liberals complaining about climate change listen up.  Hemp grows pretty fast compaired to trees.  Can be used to make paper, particle board, plastic, cloth and many other uses.

And you want government to have more control when they have literally pushed the progress of a more sustainable energy source that releases carbon dioxide vs carbon monoxide?  Have literally made it illegal to make your own clothing from start to finish?  And won't even let you grow your food and trade it with your neighbor?  When the waist could be turned into fuel for your car or even a generator to save the grid some money?  Or a water heater and geo thermal generator?

Come on now government is corrupt and you can't see it.

Might?  No I just enjoy the idea that government isn't supposed to interfere with your day to day life but should promote common welfare, promote the sciences and useful arts, and supply a common defence << misspelled to fit the constitution.

Not regulate we the people when we are supposed to regulate them.

Well, thankfully it was quickly repealed thereafter.

We should really treat all drugs the same way we treat alcohol and prescriptions.

Regulate them, tax them, but let them be...

Right, liberal Democrats couldn't care less how many Americans are destroyed by drugs so long as they get their cut through excessive taxation...

Of course government is corrupt! Absolute power corrupts absolutely. The love of money is the root of all evil. Need I say more?

There should not have been an eighteenth amendment in the first place.  The stinking government was just ticked off that it didn't have its hands in the till.  Bootlegging and rum running was quite lucrative, thus, the government appears with their hands out.  Hummmmmm, how can we get a piece of the action?

Just like the lotto.  Hey, there used to be bookies.  You'd go into a bar or wherever, give a bookie some money, he'd play the numbers with someone and hey if you won, you hit big.  No taxes, no nothing...just cash.  Well, same here.  The government saw they were not getting a piece of the action.  So, low and behold, the lottery.

Don't kid yourself into thinking that, oh they are giving all the money to senior citizens, pharmacies to benefit seniors, old age homes, etc.  That may be true, but to a small extent.  They are getting a big piece of the action in taxing the money alone not including skimming.  The lotto should not be taxed.  They take almost half.  Did they contribute to the $10 for the play?  Heck no.  In my mind, and I am sure in many other's minds, the mafia became the government.

I am not a trusting person.  Look how big the lottos are today.  The mega million is 750 million today and the power ball is right behind it.  The government (oooops the mafia is looking for the big pay off for that one).

Remember old New York?  The mafia would go around and bother the business owners if they weren't given a part of the profits.  In reality, it is the government today. They want part of everything you got. The big corporations are in bed with the government and these democrats and some republicans are in bed with the Chinese.  It is no wonder they all hate our President Trump.  He is only in bed with Melania, and hey can you blame him? The president is a straight ticket.  I love him.

Yes, the mafia became the government.  Piglosi's father was a big time mafia guy. https://prntly.com/2020/01/20/how-the-baltimore-mafia-flourished-under-nancy-pelosis-father/

There will always be crime, good vs. evil.  But, hand on to your hats, it is going global and probably has been for quite some time.  Trust no one, not even your mother, and keep an eye on her.

For the most part, I agree with you. I would have no problem giving the government SOME tax money, like 10% or so. The problem is just as you mentioned, the politicians wanted a piece of the action and corruption began. Government has gotten WAY too big, WAY too expensive and WAY too involved in American's every day lives. The Marxists have pushed government to be the end all, be all of everything, it is NOT and never has been. What's more, it will never be enough, it will never be big enough, taxes will never be high enough and there will never be enough regulations to suit the Marxists. As long as the Constitution stands, the Marxists will continue to attack anything and everything. Unless the average person stands up and fights for liberty, truth and justice, the Marxists will get their way.

As I've been saying, the stolen election is just the beginning of what the Marxists want to do to enslave and bring down America. America will become as Nazi Germany was in 1944...

Yes, we have to give them some money for our protection but the government has become way to large. I am all for the military.  Get bigger and better ships, destroyers, battleships, jets, spacecraft, satellites, all of it.  I want the biggest stick on the planet.

Now the government, and big tech is shutting down free speech, only certain news platforms can survive and only if you say what they want you to.  Parler is shut down!  Laura Loomer has been held at the airport simply because of her conservative views.

I am worried.  It is just like Germany in 1933.  The German government was doing exactly the same thing as ours is now in the earliest days of the war.  Turning the press, not letting people go places, ("your papers please").  Closing Jewish businesses (conservative now), not permitting banks to loan to certain people.  It is happening here and it is happening today.  Are we in WWIII but don't know it yet?  Conservatives are being bullied across the board.  Now to get a job, you have to sign off that they can check your social media?  Really?  How about they come in my bedroom and see what's going on there too!  Well, they practically are.

They decide if you are going to be called a girl or boy. They are pushing transgenderism, same sexism, the whole enchilada.   That should be private.  They shouldn't be teaching the young this stuff.  It is very confusing to them.  Sample of what I mean, I got married at 23 a virgin.  Didn't know what gay meant.   Was shocked the first time I saw two women kissing.  That was in the 70's.

Oh well, trust in the Lord.  So true.  Just waiting for the rapture.
