is it just me or does a CCW permit violate the 2nd amendment????...

''SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED''

Nope, not just you. All gun laws and training and permit requirements are illegal and go directly against the 2nd amendment. That being said, you will go to jail without following these requirements. Now, some may ask if I think training is a bad thing. The answer is no. I think people should be well trained but making it a requirement is just another infringement against the most infringed against words "shall not be infringed." I carried a firearm before the state of Fl required a permit in 1987 and I decided to apply for a permit then and have had one since. Its another tax. It sucks. The states that are passing constitutional carry are getting it right. It should be the law of the land. I am an FFL and am also an NRA pistol instructor. The 2nd is something close to my heart.

Bingo!!!
It's how the left works, and a capitulation bunch of squishies give away our Rights, Rights they were banned from touching as stated in the Bill of Rights.
Now it's the First Amendment, with their fracturing of speech in redefing "Hate" speech as not being covered..
I'll be moving this to it's appropriate forum, or rather Walks will.
Thanks Walks.

The only one that may keep his word is Ted Cruz young timer.  But being from the Great state of Texas, you know that young man.

(*best Ronnie Reagan voice*) There he goes again!

I don' know, Solar, but Trump is the nominee. As much as you like Cruz, he will not become President in this cycle. That leaves the Libertarian, Green Pub,or Dim.
trump has as much chance at the presidency as does Cruz. Trump has already said he does not want my vote so he will not get it. don't bother with " a vote for Cruz is a vote for hillery" hillery won the white house the day trump got his magic # of delegates. It took a lot of effort from the lsm to make trump the rep. candidate, it won't take near as much effort to knock him down.      here's to the midterms and 2020.

Trump is he nominee for the republican party. I left the republican party so why should I care who they nominate. Besides you vote for the person, not the party and I cannot bring myself to check off Trump.

Bingo!
My vote for Cruz is a three sided blade. One it cuts the Marxists Dims because I refuse to support their candidate, Trump.
Two, it cuts at Clinton, and three, it cuts away the cancer that is leftist control over the GOP.

The question is, why are you under the illusion that trump entered the race to win?
The GOP had a perfectly good Conservative, yet wound up pushing him out in support of Trump.
Are you not making this connection?
Trump is not even a RINO. All the evidence supports he's in the race to get Clinton elected, has been since long before he announced he was running.
Shooter, ask me anything where you disagree, where you think I'm full of shit, I'll gladly support it with facts.
I wish I was wrong, but I know I'm not. Trump is a Dim plant.

That's the truth Shooter, one of them will be president, which is unfortunate for this country.

Hate to say it, but I see very little evidence that trump has any chance to become president. Doesn't that make a vote for trump just as "useless" as a vote for Cruz. One of those votes sends a message, or at least I hope it does.

Trump may very well be a DIM plant, however the fact remains he or The Beast will be President.

I also disagree that there was only one other conservative in the race.
