How insane is the ammo market these days? 89 bucks plus freight for a brick of .22s??!!! Holy shit! It wasn't that long ago I started reloading partly to avoid per-round prices like that, except I was reloading center-fire stuff like .222 Remington and .41 Magnum and .303 British. (I had what you might call 'eclectic' tastes in calibers.) I could throw together a .50 BMG round for around a dollar.

What the hell happened?

Where I come from...
Ten -fifty round boxes = 500 rounds or a 'brick'.

Yeah, used to be. Nowadays, they usually sell them in one big box of 500 or 525 or 530, whatever they feel like marketing. I think they quit the old "carton of ten boxes" thing a while back.
