Yes, I agree and I know what you're saying, my point is, if the bullet passes through soft tissue quickly as say a 9mm, the attacker may continue forward.
But hit with a slow traveling slug like the 45 will make the attacker stop and think.
You are correct, it doesn't have the actual power to knock someone backwards but I think you would be hard pressed to find a victim of a 45 that was still standing after being hit.

I think I read it is like getting hit by a brick at 100+ mph.

If you take a CBM shot from a .45acp in a hydra-shok configuration, I'd assume that several important organs are going to sustain damage, the body's natural responses is to protect the core by going into shock. But the damage inflicted by a hydra-shok round is usually a show stopper for the person on the receiving end of the round.

Just as an aside, the EFMJ is another excellent round, though it does not fragment the way the hydra-shok round will do. I think, fragmentation is a good thing.

The round in the head entered the temple and made full circle around the inside of his skull, where the doctors were able to extract it easily near the entry point.
The round that entered his foot ran a circular path up the inside of his leg to his torso where they finally found it.

A guy I grew up with for fifteen years bolted becuase his parents told him to. He was 2 years older than me, my brothers age. He would have bolted without their encouragement because he was soft.

But he came back about 12 years ago, wife and family, the whole package, a professional. He doesn't understand my, and his former friends animosity towards his cowardice. He feels like it never happened, that time heels all wounds. Fuck him.

He will be on the wall, he finally died of complications from his injuries.
He never aged a day over 19, mentally that is, it seemed to stagnate him and he stayed a kid all his life.
Brain damage is a strange thing, and he never had a relationship with a woman because of it.
But he seemed to make the best of it.
I drug him to my Vet rep 15 years ago and they awarded him 100% disability.
He couldn't understand, he said theres nothing wrong with me.
But to anyone else, it was blatantly obvious.
