Just out of curiousaty why tuna in oil and not water?
Not only does tuna in oil have a longer shelf life, but the oil can also be used for cooking.
The oil could also be used as a rust inhibitor or lubricant.
Since it is tuna oil I would probably rather use it this way...cooking with it seems gross. :) :)
Actually, the oil used to pack tuna in cans is 100% vegetable oil. The oil can be filtered through cheesecloth or something like that and re-used.
Won't it still taste like tuna.... :)
Someone stop me...mustn't comment on smelling or tasting like fish...can't ..do it...Nooooo.... :o :-X ::)
When the world gets that bad just hold your nose. ;D
You can also mask the odor of the tuna oil with a spoonful of Limburger cheese. ;)
