New cross-country vehicle.

There's a guy where I live that built something nearly identical using an John Deer tractor.
He's taken it on the Rubicon crossing, through the river and runs in in 20 drifts of snow.
Though it's slow, there's not a thing that can keep up with it when he hits the forest, not even a quad or side by side.

Short of experiencing an Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) event over an automobile, there's hundreds of items that can be taken from a car or truck that will sustain you during in Apocalyptic event; of course if you can find a vehicle built before electronic brains were installed in them, your level of adaptability will be even greater. Brainstorm a while 'n you'll find multiple use possibilities for nearly every component in the car/truck --- it's the one item that will take a post-apocalyptic survivor to level higher than those simply existing but without ingenuity to adapt to difficult situation..!!
