Some guy up the road is making those Tiny Houses.  Kinda cute looking, but "tiny".

If I was that guy in the city, looking to make a run-fer-da-hills - Meh, it's an idea.  I'd pay to park the think in one of those cheap, fenced parking rentals, close to where my spread is.  If the SHTF, got get it, and pull it to your land, hook up to your well and septic, and done.

The idea is to leave almost nothing of value on the unattended land.  Keep the house in a secure location.  Maybe pull it up there for deer season... sort of practice and a chance to do a little maintenance on it, or the land.   When done, drag it back, lock it up and pay the man for another year of storage.
