For those who didn't know (like me), Remington has recalled their 700 series Rifles with X-Mark Pro trigger assemblies manufactured May 1, 2006 through April 9, 2014. This recall was announced in April of this year. I'm in process of sending my rifle in for inspection and possible repair. Bad news is there is a 12 or more week turnaround on that. If you are located near a repair center, there is another avenue to pursue for repairs.

With the link provided below, you can check if your rifle has the affected part. Standard instructions are that you not use affected rifles until they are repaired. Misfires have occurred. One death that I'm aware of. You can check your serial no. at the Remington site below and see if your gun is involved.

Was told that it would take 12 weeks, rifle has been returned 3 weeks to the day with the trigger replaced per the paperwork.
