I can see it, considering a single candle gives off 3600 BTU per hour, which really isn't a lot, but 8 or more in a small area could be quite comfortable.

I find it interesting that they pointed out his being a boat owner as if it somehow lends credence to his credentials.

Yes I agree with the boat ,,, but a small room even would be interesting to find out if it would....  I can see me putting this little idea in the bag of tricks for winter just in case the car busts down on a day like what we have been having.  a small area like  that,, a little tweek in the metal container I think it would do well.... a 3 man tent would probably be a good area to  warm....

Think snow cave, a single candle can raise the temp to the mid 40s.
Try it in your bedroom, close it up, light a few candles, check the temperature, and again before you go to bed.

I may do this one myself, Toy hates the cold, I sleep with the window open all year long. :woot:

Yep!  and it also look as the room was well insulated in 3 sides.  The out side wall has a very large fireplace chimney that we got heat from as a kid in our bed room.    If it works so good, why does he have on a heavy sweater in the house.     Even at 25º outside I run around the house in a T-shirt.

Probably should tell, but I sit naked all day with the window open because my pooter puts out enough heat to keep me warm. :woot:
Seriously, I seldom wear clothes here in the mountains, because well...I the animals don't give a damn.

Must say the thing just might work... then again,,,a candle in a metal can does to. My neighbors kid got stuck  on I57 during the storms,,,, thats all she had to stay warm.(well and blankets).. 2 candles 2 metal cans. Gonna try it on the next race trip in the camper...yep... that room is small enough...
