Well that would make me look silly, considering the clash of accessories, such as my tinfoil hat.

It really would be fun to live with just wood stoves / fireplace, wells or bodies of water, hunting-fishing-trapping-gardening-canning / smoking / salting.  Living like the 1800's wilderness.

Build yourself a cabin where you have good cover from the summer sun and some cover from rain / winter storms.

But it's tough to keep the wife & kids happy, get kids through school, get retired comfortably, while doing this.  They sort of clash with each other.

You'd be surprised at just how many do it that way in my area. Yes, it's tough, but not one of them would trade it for the world.

I like the faraday cage clothing idea but the second you take out your phone, they can triangulate it.

I saw a show once on National Geographic and they never aired it again about how to make yourself disappear off the grid. I took detailed notes knowing it was odd that it made it to the air. They were talking about how the government uses lasers bounced off the windows in your car and home to measure miniscule vibrations caused by people speaking. They can use those vibrations and analyze what you're saying. The show was all about tips like that to avoid capture. It was fascinating.
