The liberals just killed another business. This time the great and once powerful sport of NASCAR.

NASCAR isn't just turning left anymore they are making wide left hand turns. They felt the need to take a stance against the 2nd Amendment and IMO this will be the nail in the coffin for once a great and exciting sport.

At one time in the 1970s all that was on TV was the big races: Daytona and Talladega. Then they got the air to fuel mixture correct and they went full throttle to mainstream TV and hit it big time. Now they have a tranny problem and are stuck in reverse.

The left turns became left-wing turns and now you can't find a NASCAR race on TV. Kind of like CNN. Attendance got so bad they had to take down the seats on the back stretches so they can try and fool their viewing public with all them empty seats. Now if you look at a NASCAR race they will not even show the stands at all because they are so many empty seats. Also try and find a race on regular TV, NASCAR is nowhere to be found. Hell, it has become challenging to my remote control batteries to find a NASCAR race on cable TV.

Well after this "gun control" burnout I say R.I.P. NASCAR the Intimidator (3) just turn over in his grave.

NASCAR has began rejecting gun ads. One has to wonder how out of touch they can be with their fan base when making a decision like this.

They got "too big for their britches". Abandoning tracks like Rockingham and Wilksboro deprived their fan base of local venues. Reminds of a guy who played gin at my club who said "Greed is a terrible thing". Check out the Darlington race next weekend and we will see how the old way is still popular.

NASCAR can easily be replaced by smaller venues taking its place and growing.

I don't know, I'm not a fan. But there are millions who are, and no doubt they'll find a more appealing venue as their favorite drivers feel the heat and dump NASCAR.

Yup once they get rid of Rockingham and Wilkesboro the writing was on the wall. They didn't really care about their core audience...the Southern Gentlemen. Then they turn around and took a race away from Atlanta the biggest race city in the south and bingo out west they went.

They totally stripped the Southern Pride right out of NASCAR.

Good question, there are a whole lot of people out there willing to spend money to be entertained. Only stipulation, they don't want to be preached to, they do not want the person entertaining to be giving advice on how they should think or what their morals should be. to be fair, they don't want their leaders to be entertaining them, they want their leaders to be doing their job. Maybe, someday, some form of entertainment might lock on to this. Sports is out, movies are out, most singers are out, looks like racing is going out too, what's left? I stopped watching sports when players started taking a knee, have not seen a movie in 25+ years, only listen to a few talk shows on the radio, (can't remember when country died, but its dead,) Don't know how much longer we will have the internet before the liberals ruin that too.

There is still a base of fans who enjoy making a weekend out of a NASCAR race. Those weekends are a "right of passage" for many good ol' boys and girls from the South.
