I have been watching this story, and whether he is guilty or not doesn't really interest me - so much as all theses sports casters reaction to it. Braun won his appeal on the basis of the sample not being handled correctly. The person who was supposed to forward the sample, used the excuse that he couldn't find a Fed Ex to send it from. Uh, bullshit. In major cities there's at least one Fed Ex that's open 24/7. But even more interesting, is that Braun raised the subject of tampering - and all these sports types hand waved the possibility away - in a country where people have been poisoned by people tampering with products on store shelves. In a country where for the last 40 years, major political figures have told people that it isn't "fair" when someone has something and you don't. I can easily see someone tampering with the sample, for no other reason than they're a fan of an opposing team - ask Monica Seles what fans of your opponent are capable of. Or because they think he gets "paid too much" for hitting a baseball. Or for no other reason than they are miserble failure and absolutely hate anyone successful at anything. To tell the truth, I'm surprised that the idea hasn't been raised before, after all some sports figures are marketed as "villeins". Who doesn't want to see the "bad Guy" get his comeuppance?
