Well the pre-season has started and that means the regular season and the run for the Super Bowl won't be far behind. I know that these games are meaningless but the games do give a glimmer of how the new extra point rule has affected the game. I streamed the Packer V Patriot game and the 2 point conversion plays were used by both teams with some success. I'm waiting for the Bronco game tonight to see what they do with the new rule.

They should've made two of the four pre-season games actual games, in an 18-game season.  Fans hate paying full-price to watch four scrimmages.

It's such a tough game.  If they did that, then the first two games, they haven't had enough reps and a loss could have been because they aren't in there rythm and players aren't ready.  Plus you have to see who looks good in a game-time situation.  It's give or take, but it just seems like a lose-lose if they converted those to regular season games.  Not to mention, if they get into the playoffs, that's an extra two games of injuries and being worn down.

You're right.  I was just huffy after friends complained about paying full parking-prices at the Lions/Jets game last night.  We're doing the team a favor by showing-up at a pre-season game.

I agree with that.  To me, it's like you said about UFC prelims.  It's really more for the true fans, I think, scouting out the up-and-comers and getting excited about some new potential.  I'm going to TRY to watch some football this year.  I try, but then some liberal BS starts seeping in, and I just swear it off.  I'm going to try this year, though.

And next year? It has to hit bottom before it gets better. Libs have a way of destroying everything they touch. :glare:

I know, it drives me crazy.  They killed football for me, and continue to kill the game with their liberal p*ssy crap.

It's business-as-usual once the first ball is kicked-off.  It's the game where our competitive National-psyche lives.  On the field and in the betting-parlor.
