ATLANTA (AP) — NFL owners approved a new policy Thursday aimed at addressing the firestorm over national anthem protests sparked by Colin Kaepernick and polarized by President Trump, permitting players to stay in the locker room during the "The Star-Spangled Banner" but requiring them to stand if they come to the field.

"I pay your salary asshole, so get your ass out there and show respect for those that gave their lives so you could become a multi millionaire, you spoiled brat!"

It will be interesting to see how the NFLPA responds. Also, what will be the penalties and fines. I suggest suspension from the games and the fine equal to the prorated pay for the suspended game.

As player were not part of the meeting they can not be fined in anyway, is my understanding.  Only the team owners.
