We live in America, with freedom of speech and freedom of expression. I was raised by my father to believe that if someone here in America wants to protest a an action or a cause, they have every right to do so. “On their own time.” My father told me “Not on a company’s dime.” He told me when news first broke of Colin Kaepernick.

He makes a good point, in my eyes. I have no problem with the players of the National Football League protesting black inequality and the unjust police shootings, they have the right to do that. But not on the dime of The National Football League. The NFL is a private organization, thus meaning they employ the players under a private organization, giving them the right to create policy against behaviors that will reflect poorly upon the overall standing of the league.
