In a short time, Sept, the race to the Super Bowl will start. A race that I hope the Denver Broncos will win!

Team changes have been going on since the end of the last super bowl, Deflateagate and the Brady suspension, the draft and free agency are all behind us and the predictions for the next super bowl winner have been published.

QuoteODDS TO WIN SUPER BOWL 50 AT BOVADA AS OF JUNE 10
Seattle Seahawks 6/1
Green Bay Packers 7/1
Indianapolis Colts 8/1
New England Patriots 17/2
Dallas Cowboys 10/1
Denver Broncos 12/1

Maybe then again maybe not. I wouldn't mind seeing a Green Bay  - Seahawk match up, or even a Green Bay and Patriot match up, but what I'd really love to see is a Cowboy - Bronco match up. The last time both teams were in the SB together was in 1978 (SB XII) and the `Boys won, 27-10. Morton proved no match for Staubach, one of my favorites on the `Boys team. But can either team reach the SB this year? Hell anything is possible, but probable? Probably not! This may well be Manning's final year with the Bronco's, and while he hold many records, he got his ass handed to him in the match up with the Seahawks, and last year against the Colts in the division playoff game.

I wished L. A. would get their own team.

We might get St Louis, Oakland, or San Diego to come here.

I'm rooting for Oakland

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but the citizens capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.

That Seahawks line is pretty suspect... getting to the show in the NFL three times in a row?  That's a long shot...

Bumped... for relevancy.

My sb-picks are Detroit vs. New England.

Not looking so well...

Atlanta and Carolina are looking well.  There's something about Green Bay that just doesn't seem substantial.  I tend to think they'll topple... and topple hard.

If the Seahawks don't get their act together, they'll not be up there at the top for long. As for the Broncos, if they don't improve their offence and running game, they are toast. I'm looking at the Packers v Patriots in the SB.

Another blown non-call last night, going against the Lions of course.  That's 2 in their last 5 games, going back to the mistakenly picked-up flag (pass interference), with the no call of Dallas-player subsequently removing his helmet on the field, at the end of the Lions vs. Cowboys playoff-game last year.

Last night, the Seattle player intentionally slapped the ball out-of-bounds after a Lions fumble in the end-zone.  That's illegal.  The refs utterly ignored the rule.

You can't bat the ball in any direction in the end zone. K.J. Wright batted the football, that is a foul for an illegal bat," NFL vice president of officiating Dean Blandino said on NFL Network following the game.

"The back judge was on the play. In his judgment, he didn't feel it was an overt act, so he didn't throw the flag. In looking at the replays, it did look like a bat. So the enforcement would be, basically we'd go back to the spot of the fumble, and Detroit would keep the football."

One of the most beautiful sights in the world is an empty whiskey-bottle sailing 30-yards in a rainbow-arc until it... nevermind.  This is a family forum.
