The New York Giants dropped injured cornerback Janoris Jenkins Friday after he used the term "retard" on Twitter when talking with a fan.

Jenkins injured his ankle Monday night in a game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He had signed a five-year, $62 million contract with the Giants in 2016, and he has now been released early, the Associated Press reported Friday.

"This was an organizational decision," coach Pat Shurmur told the AP. "From ownership to management to our football operations, we felt it was in the best interests of the franchise and the player. Obviously, what happened this week, and the refusal to acknowledge the inappropriate and offensive language, was the determining factor."

Great. As if my Giants were not bad enough.. Now we drop one of our best cornerback over a word? Unbelievable. This season is a wash. Pat shermer should be beat for this. I can not wait to see his ass fired.

How sad is this, I had no idea "Retard" was on the PC list, I thought it was just nigger, spic, Chink and Jap, take note, white Christians males are fair game.

Oh, and on a side note, I went through this guys twitter feed, he seems like a genuinely nice guy who used the least offensive term he could come up with. But who knew the Dim party had decided to include in their list of protected classes, Fuckin Retards?
But when you think about it, that literally encompasses 99% of their constituency.

So no one going to all these games are a RETARD.     When some people are willing to pay $1,000's just to go see a game, I would say there are some RETARDS.

Honestly, The word retard is spoke all the time. In our hypersensitive culture it has been deemed offensive. Though to me, I find mentally challenged or special needs or one of the other meriad terms they use to be far more offensive.

Agree! I remember back when the left started their campaign to rename job descriptions. Janitor was a maintenance "Person" etc, they even tried to rename manhole covers to 'maintenanceholes'.
