Actually, what you said here is actually true but our medical system and care is what it is and the best one can get right now.  You want to know why we have so many doctors and psychiatrists and why it is the way it is.  It's because the medical and mental health industry is a business that is in the business of treating their patients and not curing them.  If you cure them or provide effective solutions there is no money to be made.  It is the profit motive at work.

It is why I quit seeing them.  I realized what was going on.

I usually do that if I'm at any event or game where it is played.   Doesn't mean I agree one should be forced to do it.  I just think having an anthem and forcing others to do it is anti-american.  That's just my opinion.

Usually, I simply aren't at these events I know the thing will be played at so for the most part for me the point is moot.  I can't disrespect it or the troops if I'm not there to disrespect them.

Quite honestly, just b/c they're not being disrespectful doesn't mean that it even makes sense to do or it would accomplish anything.  If they really wanted to accomplish something Colin should've just finished out the season, save up his money, quit the team and encourage others to save their money and quit their teams.  And, then encourage others to boycott the games.  Simple!  If one doesn't go one can't be disrespectful if one isn't there in the first place.  It worked for the Montgomery Bus system.  They got rid of segregation quick once they realize they were losing business.   You got to hit them in their pocketbooks. 

And, usually I went to these things not to enjoy the game or praise the troops but simply to spend time with my family when they went. 

But, personally, I'm not to fond of sports especially organized sports anyway so I have no desire to go cause of that anyway to go.  And, people just act stupid at these things anyway and they're loud as fuck anyway.   And, a lot of times I have no idea what's going on anyway so I simply don't like to be there especially with big crowds as well.  So, it's all good.

It's just so stupid how people handle things sometimes.

A.  Hypocrisy!  You got me thinking here.  Is it ever possible to follow one's beliefs to the absolute letter all the time for all of our lives.  None of us are perfect so how can we.  If it is true that none of us are perfect and all have come up short then are we all hypocrites?   Can we follow our own standards with absolute perfection?  No, we can't.  We're all hypocrites in someway.  I think I'm going to make an effort to not call anyone a hypocrite since no one is perfect.

C.  This country feeds and houses you....   SSDI  does not come from the taxpayers but from what I put in previously when I did work and from my previous employers as well.   Besides, I don't get much from SSDI anyway so really it is my family that houses and feeds me and it is God who feeds me as well.   So, no my country does not feed, house or clothe me.  God and my family does and when my family needs help with something I'm there to do it.   No questions asked.  So, I owe my living not to my country but to my family and to God.

As for forcing: Here is the word forcing defined by the Cambridge dictionary. 

If by attending certain events or participating in certain events it requires me to do the national anthem or pledge in the exact form with no exceptions and the consequences of if I don't include getting my ass beat b/c some ex-marine feels I was "disrespectful" then that's the very definition of forcing.  Even if one's intent was not to be disrespectful. 

But making someone stand up for a pledge or anthem to me is anti-american and if one looks in the Bible itself it is anti-God. 

The soldiers:  Soldiers are willing to take a bullet by joining up in the first place and they know it.   Do I respect them for that, yes I do.  Do I think they're defending our freedoms?  With the differing recent wars and conflicts we've been in like the Gulf war how are they doing that exactly?  How are all of these wars, excursions and conflicts we've been in since the 80s and 90s defended anyone's freedoms?  One of the few I do understand is getting Bin Laden and taking down al qaeda?  Solar, all you're doing is speaking in bumper sticker slogan BS just like Darryl Worley with his song "Have you Forgotten?" 

It doesn't give justification behind these wars and conflicts and how they protect our freedoms.  And, by the way where were the WMDs Bush claimed Saddam Hussein had and we had to get over there quick to stop him from using them? 

Part of respecting our flag, our nation, our values, our soldiers and their lives is to question and to demand accountability.  Accountability not just from our gov't but from those who beat the drums of war.  To ask them?  Why?  Why is this war necessary?  Is there a better way?   How does this war defend our freedoms?  And, what should our national interests be exactly?
