We will be there. Going to be interesting with final year of Gordon, Waltrip racing folding and the Stewart drama...
Should be fun though.

What is it?  I've never heard of chase weekend.

It's NASCAR. those that were good enough to get into the chase will race for the championship... 12 could be locked in and after this race this weekend the field will be set.

Is the atmosphere there anything like Darrlington?

Truthfully, I don't know. We've only been to Bristol and Chicagoland.
It's a cookie cutter track. If you like racing at Kansas, Michigan it's fine.

I understand the cookie cutter model. Unfortunately NASCAR overloaded the schedule with these type tracks to reach some larger markets. I am not sure it has served them well in the long term. The absence of Rockingham and Wilksboro has taken away much of the uniqueness that made NASCAR so popular.

It's very sad to see both of those go to the wayside.  I am a short track person.
Love the pace of short tracks.  The energy is amped from drivers to fans.
I like Chicagoland because we see trucks, nationwide and cup.

Wash out tonight, means 2 races tomorrow.  I can do that.

I'll squeeze-in NASCAR during the NFL.

Kyle has the momentum and willpower right now.  Everybody else (except Truex) seems a little burnt-out.

Our neighbors have the outside tv gunk.   We managed both, lol.
Kyle does what he does, he is an excellent driver.  As far as the rest being burned out, naaa, I don't think so, the battle is on and right now anyone can pull this that in the chase, first cut soon come.
