Which raises a huge question for debate. Do we really want to contact other life, quite yet?

Think about it, we know from personal experience we can't be trusted as a specie.
With that in mind, we are probably the happy medium in space, meaning there are possibly life forms out there sweet as if blessed by God himself, while the other end of the spectrum yields pure evil that conquers and takes as they please.

Do we really want to flip a coin right now, or at least wait until we can make first contact and set the rules for engagement knowing we can at least protect our civilization?

If aliens see that people like Shmak Schummer or Nancy Pilosiu are in the government of our country, they can declare sanctions on Earth for the next millions of years.

On the other hand, there are limitations on the maximum speed in Einstein's "Space-Time", such that it is almost impossible to fly even to the nearest star.

It remains to wait for "New Physics", which, it is not yet known, will be.
