Interesting find , if it's accurate.

Round up all the libs and send them there to protect the water, and the illegals to work the future fields.

I've never seen the appeal of "colonizing" the place. It'll never happen. Mars really is no different than the moon. The atmosphere is nearly nonexistent, it's VERY, very, very cold (although the pictures from there resemble our desert) and if the cold, or the lack of a real atmosphere doesn't kill you, the radiation will.

Mars is believed to have lost its atmosphere very early in its existence because of the low gravity and the lack of a magnetic shield.

Earth has just enough of both to prevent the atmosphere from being blown away by the solar wind.  We would have lost our atmosphere too if not for the protection of our magnetic shield.

IF no atmosphere then no H2O.  IF VERY, very, very cold then the H2O would be frozen in no time at all.

Sorry, but NO. You should read more carefully. Mars has an atmosphere. It's VERY (very, very) thin. It's mostly CO2 (carbon dioxide, and nitrogen.

Temps are like the moon (250 above during the day, 250 below zero at night). Mars can get to 50 degrees in the summer sun. But then there's night. CO2 freezes to "dry ice" at 110 below zero. That's what's at the polar caps, and it gets below that, even at the equator.

The water is saturated with a special salt (not our table or sea salt). This allows the water to become liquid at temps below zero.

No magnetic shield creates all kinds of problems - communications are limited to line-of-sight, and the radiation - wow!   If airline pilots have a higher incidence of cancer (supposedly induced by excessive exposure to radiation), how long would anyone expect to LIVE in that environment?

I trust NASA as far as I can throw them.  And I shouldn't throw anyone with my bad back...

Think sardines, now envision shipping containers in the same manner, all packed on the largest container freighter in the world, thennn... imagine dozens of those ships stacked on the largest barge.
