Title: Warning About Instagram/Face3book
Post by: Solar on December 18, 2012, 08:27:18 AM
You may want to cancel your account before January.

Instagram says it now has the right to sell your photos

In its first big policy shift since Facebook bought the photo-sharing site, Instagram claims the right to sell users' photos without payment or notification. Oh, and there's no way to opt out.

That's not surprising considering it involves Facebook.

Welcome Jean, hope you stick around.

I feel sorry for kids today, they don't fully grasp the dangers of putting their entire history online and how it will come back to bite them in the ass later in life.
Can you imagine trying to run for office, only to have your opponent post your drunk party pics all over the place?
Even your most private thoughts attached to a pic you shared with a friend, could one day be tossed out their for all to see, even though you thought they were private because you specified only one person see them.

Every kid out there will be thrust into losing their innocents the day their private life is eviscerated fro the world to see.
Deleting everything now is a start, but quitting altogether is the best defense for ones future.

One will find you can not delete everything.  Once posted it can be passed on.  Once you post text you can't take it back.  The old saying if you can't tell your mother or sister, don't put it down on paper.

That's the thing, you can delete it and people like you and I won't see it, but if someone really wants to find it, they hire someone with the expertise to dig up your old bones.

There are archive sites out there that keep record of everything every minute of the day and for a price will let you copy it.
