A politician thinks of the next election. A statesman, of the next generation.- James Freeman Clarke

Politics is supposed to be the second-oldest profession.  I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first.  ~ Ronald Reagan ~

Ya know, it always amazes me how little man knows about his surroundings, yet arrogantly claims we can effect change in earths climate.
If I were to use an illustration of man's knowledge/IQ and understanding of his existence, I would put the planet earth as representative of all knowledge ever accumulated, to that of reality being the known and visible universe.
The earth is literally unrecognizable against the backdrop of space.

Find Waldo, er earth. Earth = measured intellect among the vastness of space.

Granted these gravitational waves are an amazing discovery, it's what we have yet to learn that dwarfs what we already know and will ever understand before we no longer exist as a specie.
