Yep, I've always thought we lived in a captured moment in time, on nothing more than a grain of sand on a distant beach.
Hell, under a microscope (can't remember the name), a grain of sand looks identical to the universe.

Yeah, it's called fractal geometry.  The English coastline resembles the patterns of any rock found on the English coastline, etc. 

It's the same for time, which actually doesn't exist beyond particle-dynamics.  My typing-motions here are the leftover manifestations of a quindecadrillion positron annihilations... an infinite number of halfway-points abridged in a finite time.

Reminds me of that scene at the end of Men in Black movie where it zooms out and the universe is a marble being played with by aliens.  Always fun to think of all the possibilities.
