Just thinking, if a fully staffed Navy ship can crash into other vessels, and with the sky becoming a little more crowded with Drones - would this become a reality, an autonomous flying shuttle/plane?
How about a Train? Why not, they have tracks to keep them going the right way.
My wife will not get into one even if there were 100 pilots. :lol:

I have an autonomous drone when there is signal loss it flies on its own, rather well.
However, this is assuming it has a solid GPS link, the literal brain behind autonomous, without it, it's nothing more than a blind man lost in an area he's unfamiliar with.
In other words, if a country decided to attack us, their first strike will be on our reliance on satellite, add to that a few EMP, and this will be proof, there is just no replacing man in an emergency.
Self driving cars should have programmed in, a rule telling them to get off the road before shutting down, so as not to become a butt plug on our highway system in the event of an emergency, leaving it clear for those of us that were smart enough to not rely on pooters for our daily existence.
Give it ten years and it'll be the norm.
