devtools is your friend.  You can open up devtools, change the password field on the form to show the password, so you can first look at what value you have in the field.

I'm typing this with Opera.  It's pretty smooth, and blocks pop-ups out of the box.  It is a good change of pace to Iron, which is still my favorite.
