It's -3 on the lakeshore right now.  Dropping to -14 tonight.  The Superbowl-Sunday storm's 14-inches are still here, essentially...  And I just had to investigate a sharp thumping sound with a vibration on the sunroom-roof, from the direction of it.  But I didn't locate or see anything.  Nothing like worrying about frigid exterior-intangibles.

Yeah, ya gotta love Winter...

Ughhh... I know what you mean. I got snowed out one year, couldn't get home for a week, when I finally hiked in, I found about 30' worth of tree sticking out of my house..
I guess the blizzard snow had built up on one side of the tree, it leaned way over, snapped off and like a spear, shot straight down through my roof and right through my pillow.

I don't know when it happened, but I'm glad I wasn't in bed at the time.
The only ice we have to watch out for from above, is that blue ice with brown chunks and yellow swirls.
I heard about a neighbor finding some one day. Ewwww.

Wow.  A circumstance centuries-in-the-making... thwarted.

Your ancestors would tell you to take the wood from that tree and fashion it to become something in, or of your house.  Or always keep a chunk of it with you.

Exactly. Keep a sliver, fashion a toothpick out of it. But burn the rest. That's what God put it here for.

In yet another display of typical lib ignorance...I mean come on seriously? Mankind wouldn't exist if not for burning wood. Let alone the entire human civilization.
One of every five Americans you meet has a mental illness of some sort. Many, many, of our veteran's suffer from mental illness like PTSD now also. Help if ya can. :) http://www.projectsemicolon.org/share-your-story.html
And no you won't find my "story" there. They don't allow science fiction. :)
