Proof of 'God particle' found

GENEVA (AP) -- Scientists working at the world's biggest atom smasher plan to announce Wednesday that they have gathered enough evidence to show that the long-sought "God particle" answering fundamental questions about the universe almost certainly does exist.

Rob Roser, who leads the search for the Higgs boson at the Fermilab in Chicago, said: "Particle physicists have a very high standard for what it takes to be a discovery," and he thinks it is a hair's breadth away.

Rosen compared the results that scientists are preparing to announce Wednesday to finding the fossilized imprint of a dinosaur: "You see the footprints and the shadow of the object, but you don't actually see it."

Yeah, but in sub-atomic physics, that's like miles and miles, ain't it?  :tounge: :tounge:

Not if you use liberal math, as we've seen time and time again in their attempt to prove AGW.

That is why there CTA and saying "but you don't actually see it".  IF you can not prove it 100 % then CYA.

Bingo!!!
But then, that's how science has always worked, unless you let libs mess it up.

Seems like a huge deal in the physics world, and outside as well. I'm not anywhere near an expert on physics, and I'm excited by this.

Me too, I love it that what was once thought to be fact in science, is suddenly turned upside down.
And the left wonders why we won't accept AGW as settled science.

When they can predict the weather 100 % for a full year then I will look at there science.  Until then every fart in the wind will change the weather.

That's been my biggest bitch, they won't even say with certainty, the next three days will be as they predict they'll be.
Like weather, not one of these so called climatologists has taken into consideration what effect the earth plays in all of this.
Like the weather, it too is influenced by earth stresses in fault lines (pressure build up), or the pull of a full moon.
All of these play an important role in our climate, not to mention the biggest factor, that hot ball of gas in space.
But what do I know?
