Scapa Flow was the Royal Navy's base for the Grand Fleet during WWI and a big base of operations for the Royal Nay during WWII as well. It was the site of the scuttling of the German High Seas Fleet and some Royal Navy vessels as well.

About the only way to see the ships is by wreck diving which a lot of people will never do. So it's kind of neat to see what's roughly the equivalent of a CAT scan of the sea bottom complete with high resolution images of war ships of the past - link
