Lets say we find life on Mars, only one life form, but lets also assume that this life form is the key to terraforming the planet into a livable planet for humans at the cost of it's complete annihilation. The life form is exclusive to Mars and cannot be moved to anywhere in the known universe, nor have we been able to artificially create it's environment in the lab.The life form immediately dies when it leaves the gravity of the planet. It gets much of it's energy from radiation and transformation would create an atmosphere that blocks the life blood of this creature.
My vote would be, not only no but hell no.
ST said the same thing.I have a feeling we would never be told the truth, and the Govt would proceed with teraforming. The spin!!!The life form is evil, proclaiming it is a bully that keeps all potential life from developing, probably the reason it's the only life found, it murdered all other life, a cancer on the planet that needs to be eradicated.
When was the last time the evil government ever told the truth.
That's not fair!!!!!Remember when Obama said he was going to fundamentally transform America?
Mars can never be terraformed. It can't hold an atmosphere because it has no magnetic shield like the earth (prevents the solar wind from blowing away the atmosphere). Also, the temp is just too low. That "snow" on the poles is almost entirely dry ice (frozen CO2). Carbon dioxide freezes at -110 F. It may look like Arizona, but it'll never be.
