Grace Hopper on Letterman

I have admired Grace from my youth because she had a brilliant mind and she was one of the early computer pioneers. Her being a officer of the United States Navy with a long and highly-distinguished career, a key devolper of COBOL and the developer of the COBOL-like Flow-Matic helped her stock with me, as well. I use COBOL in my Hercules work, and I enjoy working with the language.

You Tube has some great videos of some of her speaking engagements. Based upon what she said in many of these engagements and in her '60 Minutes' interview, I think she would be offended by the sex-based way she is honored by Liberals. She was very non-sexist and made no apologies for it.

Grace Hopper will forever live in our memories, RIP...

Totally.  She really is the mother of programming languages.
