See, I never had this problem even on an older laptop with the bare minimum of RAM installed. You just have to optimize it correctly and cut off the fancy transitions and graphics. In my experience, I never had Vista crash once, XP on the other hand...

It's easier just to upgrade to Windows 7...

All this upgrade talk, I went ahead and upgraded to Ubuntu 10.10 and Firefox 4...  This is my first post!

Oh its nothing like that at all, I just hate the layout, I hate having to search for very thing.
Win 98 and XP were user friendly, but Vista is in my book shit.
But no, it has never given me any problem, stable as a rock as far as that goes.

I haven't seen a leak yet...

Until I can play Armed Assault 2, use MS Office (along with Photoshop, Quick Books, and Netflix), and get technical support that doesnt consist of a forum, I'll stick with Windows for Desktop/Laptop use.

Sure, I could get most of that with a virtual machine, but f*ck that. I have neither the time nor the patience to screw with it. I'll pay Bill Gates for the convienience not to.

Same here, which is why I haven't switched over, I just want to turn on the pooter and make one click and be doing what I planned on.

I see it akin to putting your car together, every time you want to take a drive.
