I like it. Helll, my Harley only got 40 mpg. This thing is nothing more than a bike with a cab, heater, AC. I'd buy one just for the heck of it, and I just might.
Living in the mountains, the roads are really skinny, and this would make navigating them a whole lot easier.

The Elio is a revolutionary new approach in transportation engineered to achieve 4 key "Must Haves":
84 MPG Highway (gas powered 3 cyl.)

American Made (utilizing 90% North American content)
Engineered to the highest safety standards
$6,800 (starting price)
And yes, it's the real deal. Many call it the next big thing in transportation, or simply ingenious.

It needed to be reliable and fun to drive.

Top speed over 100 mph
0 to 60 speed in under 9.6 seconds
3 year/36,000 miles warranty
Safety Management System includes three airbags, a reinforced roll-cage frame and Anti-Lock Braking System

8- gallon tank engineered to achieve
672-miles

Standard features: A/C, heat, AM/FM stereo, power windows, power door lock, three air bags, auxiliary port, ABS and traction control

Hmm... one for each foot.

Looks great for a run around town car.

But I hate them damn small car.  In a big truck you can not see them if there right in back of you.  My Dodge sets up so even a regular size care is hard to see.  If there right up on your butt.

Yeah, I read an article a while back about this thing. As I recall, in most states it is considered a motorcycle, and you have to have a motorcycle license or endorsement to drive one. Also, it ain't really THAT small. The front wheel track is fairly wide, and the wheelbase is actually longer than some conventional compact cars, IIRC.

Changed my mind. It all looks great, but they don't even have a place to build them yet..
No mention of what brand of engine or anything that I could find.
I'll wait ten years for them to roll into production.

At my age in ten years they will take my driving license for me.

I'm a stick in the mud so no motorcycles or ugly psuedomotorcycles for me. Far too dangerous. Give me a versatile 4x4 any day. As soon as someone can figure out a large 4x4 that gets 40+ mpg for a REASONABLE price, that company will dominate the competition.

I haven't driven in more than two weeks, I suddenly became afflicted with vertigo.
When it hits, and it hits within two seconds, I can't even crawl. Freakin debilitating, but my doc says it might be temporary, but they really don't know.

Only when you drive you get vertigo? Have you considered the possibility of an anxiety disorder?

Oh no, I don't drive because I only get a 5 second warning it's about to happen.
I have something called Ménière's disease, endolymphatic hydrops, is a disorder of the inner ear.
There is no cure, it has to do with the inner ear, though there are treatments, but odds are you'll lose your hearing.
Doctors say it has a good chance of going away, I just have to keep meclizine on hand at all times.

Nah, I'm one happy guy, I have the best life anyone could ever hope for, no depression on this end.
