Quote Something Shocking Happened in Florida After the Alaska Earthquake: Well Water Levels Changed

OMG!!!    This could be bad... really, really bad!  We are LOSING CONTROL OF THE PLANET EARTH!

QuoteTuesday's 7.9 magnitude earthquake in the Gulf of Alaska sent vibrations through the earth that caused water to rise and fall in wells in Florida, thousands of miles away.

Sensors near Fort Lauderdale and Madison, near the Georgia border, showed a minor change in water levels after the earthquake, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

like a giant ripple in the earth's crust, we were expecting tidal waves across the Pacific ocean, but, who could have seen this horriffic event coming?   Wells in Florida suddenly rose level?   What's next, water spouts out of wells, flooding homes like a backed up sewer!?!?!

QuoteA water level rise from 41.59 feet to 41.77 feet was recorded at the well near Madison before it returned to normal. At the well near Fort Lauderdale, the water level fell from 1.42 feet to 1.31 feet.

(note:  lots of numbers has a bigger impact... rounding is also helpful, when you got nothing else to bolster your point)
41.59 to 41.77  OMG!!!       41.6 to 41.8... >yawn<        little more than an 1 inch.  Zzzzzz...
Like filling a glass with water from the kitchen sink.   This doesn't even rise to the alarm level of your spouse flushing the toilet while you're showering!

Geeze.... haven't these people got a storm to chase, or a Hurricane list of "names" to maintain?

You could liken this to every bomb we drop on the NORKs during the daytime moves the earth 0.00000000000000000000001" further out of orbit from the sun, so we need to drop an equal number of bombs at night to move the earth back into orbit.  Yeah, that kind of stuff...

Apparently there are no pregnancies or wardrobe malfunctions to report from the Weather Channel?

"The Denali, Alaska, 7.9 magnitude earthquake of 2002 caused a well in Wisconsin to rise 2 feet."

OMG, there you have it, a single well as proof and there's an AGW connection, man is to blame....somehow, anyway, it must be "HIS" fault, the old white guy that drives a big ass old truck and runs his air conditioner all year round with the doors open.

I love how the 'Weather Channel' uses a USGS story and adds "Shocking" to the title, the same site that runs on AGW, global warming BS.
What Shocked me about the article, is they didn't try and blame us old white guys for the quake.

Yeah, even the Chinese noted that water levels have been known to fluctuate after a major quake thousands of years ago,.
Interesting no doubt, but "Shocking"?

Anyone who understands how a water column works in a typical well, knows it goes up and down with pump cycling.   2 feet is nothing, not when my well pump can temporarily lower/raise a water column 30-60 feet.

What else was missing, the Moon has been known to raise local ocean water levels, twice a day!!!   Oh the humanity!   We're losing control of the earth!!!  :scared:

Yeah, my creek and dozens of springs amazingly fluctuate/raise during heavy rains, yet, drop during dry days.
Someone needs to investigate this odd phenomenon.

I don't know about you two but my head gets wet when it rains.

Ever notice the connection between clouds and rain? I swear, it's true, it only seems to rain on cloudy days, and oddly enough, creeks only rise when clouds have been around for awhile. Hmmmm, inquiring minds want to know.
