Germany repays London for Brexit
Until recently, it seemed that European politicians showed little reaction to Brexit. It was just like that
till the very moment when a letter by Vice Chancellor and Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany Sigmar Gabriel was published. In this letter he addressed President of the European Council Donald Tusk and called to take measures on Britain due to the UK's intent to exit the EU.

I agree with you, but also want to add that they seem to be in search of more freedom for their own choices, rather than being picked and choose by the EU. I support them for that, it's their country
I hope the UK and the EU don't forget about Northern Ireland. The fear is of a hard border separating north from south.

I acknowledge I have limited awareness of the current Northern Ireland situation. However, my feeling is any hard border would be the work of the EU as a poke in the eye to the UK.
