...made my living building houses until could no longer compete w/contractors who hired foreign nationals so went work for TX prison system [maint. & const., not correctional ofcr, aka guard]; altho 68 yoa 'n blind in 1 eye from macular degeneration disease, I still climb roof but unfortunately w/o depth perception have to carry roof cement can/tubes up when scale ladder since no longer able to reach out 'n catch item tossed up my way anymore...

Yeh, wifey won't let me top trees or get on the roof. says she's too young to be a widow.

Well, about that roof, seems like you or someone could do a repair/patch that wouldn't allow any more damage until you're ready to have the new roof put on.

Just reread the 1st post, that was last year January, guess you're about ready for the new roof.

When I built this house, I had #30 felt on for three years before I put on the roofing.
