Had problems with my 2500 03 Ram Dodge.

When going to pass a truck or car.  I would give it more fuel and speed up.  Start speeding up and it would start losing power.  Let up on it and it would start running ok.  I just could not get on it for passing or move fast if I needed.

You would think it was a fuel filter, but I change it just last year.  It ended up being my air filter, it had collapsed for all the heat and dust for this spring.  I change my oil ever 3000 mile and my air filter every 6000 mile, I just changed the air filter 4000 miles back.  It is the first time that his has ever happen in all my years of driving.

I had that happen too. I never have to change my air filter before 10,000, but this year the pollen was so bad, I experienced what you did.
It was driving fine until I decided to blow out the exhaust system, and it took forever to get up to speed.
Yep, dirty air filter, I thought it was my turbo, and I saw dollar signs running past. :scared:

I know, you always think the worst.
I generally drive mine like I just stole it, but there isn't a lot of places in my area where you can get much above 60 before hitting a 20 Mph turn, so when I hit the grade out of the canyon, I started thinking the exhaust was loaded up from all the short trips, or my turbo was failing, or did I still have the dock anchor still attached. :biggrin:
