Heres one reason, we have complete idiots for teachers like this one. She had a 13 year old boy arrested for using a magic marker. She called the cops to class.

They need to fire the teacher for wasting everyones time and they need to fire the offspring of Barney Fife who was the 'arresting' officer in this case.

Clearly, stupid is still legal. (There are times when I should be thankful for that, I suppose.)

I think I posted earlier about some kids who were busted for passing out those little candy canes in cellophane wrappers, the really cheap ones, as part of their voluntary celebration of Christmas -- and were told that those candy canes could be sharpened in one's mouth and turned into a stabbing weapon.

I think stupid is not illegal enough.

Petty tyrants with too much in the way of authority and not enough in the way of responsibilities for which they have to produce results. What's left for them to do but throw their weight around to show how important they are?

I can't wait till the libs institute thought police, as stupid as that sounds, it's really not that much of a leap from this action of stupidity.

Man, where have you been? A good part of the purpose of a government-funded education system is for indoctrination. Since the public education system is a political entity the only question is who gets to decide on exactly what the kids are going to be indoctrinated in.

Meanwhile look at the crime stats in Oklahoma city, it takes three cops to process one kid with a magic marker on a complaint from some total loon in the school system.

I wonder how many felonies occurred in the school system in that time period.
