Ahh, liberal trolls don't need any motivation to annoy people or to misrepresent what they actually think.  ;)

Dan, do you really think Miss Crepe is a liberal troll? >:(
I think it's Crepe, and I think she explained as to why she got all excited, she might just be having an off day.

I heard women do that on occasion.

Fair enough, I don't think she is just having an off day, but let's presume she is; does that make her a liberal troll?

I always thought she was a conservative and nothing else.
Though I do think she is totally misinterpreting what we are talking about, and somehow took it personally.

Having often been called a troll, myself, by angry leftists (and having been impersonated numerous times by trolls), I'll waver on the side of caution here.

Reagan's 11th Commandment appears to be partly behind "our" crepe05's comments about not picking on RINOs in order for the greater good, the election itself.

She appears to say the GOP needs to actually get in and it's pointless to tear down viable GOP candidates --- (and here I add my supposition) --- that we can THEN clean house at leisure once elected.

That last part is entirely speculative on my part. She could probably clarify it if I am wrong. But the 11th Commandment is and always will be, do not speak ill of other Republicans. It isn't much of a stretch to add --- PARTICULARLY don't do it in the final weeks before the election!

She appears to be over-reacting to a few comments here, but then so are others here who appear to do likewise. Me, I'll wait until she answers a PM "over there," to confirm or deny "our" crepe05 is really her.

I believe this crepe is the same that was on LNF..I invited her here.

Crepe doesnt buy into the rinos as being as bad as a dem like some do...shes also very passionate about getting democrats out and republicans in and she feels like in Delaware the pursuit of only purists may have a reverse effect.

I think its conservative purists standing for nothing less and not caring if it causes dems to win...and a more moderate republican that wants Rs after everyones name whether theres some rinos in there or not...

NOW DONT JUMP ON ME...Im merely offering an explanation that I believe to be true..lol

Though I do think she is totally misinterpreting what we are talking about, and somehow took it personally.

I have read enough of the Dear Lady's postings on the Loose Nut Forum, to know she considers herself more of a moderate than conservative. She has also espoused pretty much there, what she has espoused here. I believe Miss Crepe has bellied up to the bar for a shot of bourbon and believes she was served rye.

I will reiterate, no one dislikes RINOs any more than I, but here is a truthism, they've been with us since the beginning. At one time we called many of them Big East Liberal PUBS. Ike was a RINO by today's standards. Nixon was a liberal, Reagan, in spite of the myths assigned unto him was basically a moderate. He was not a true conservative. More than anything else, he was a pragmatic and consummate politician. He bent and compromised any ideals he had, to accomplish his goals. He still had high regard for FDR. ( read back over his speeches )

I do believe we have slung the word RINO around fairly willynilly of late, but an unfortunate truth is simply what one of us may consider a RINO, may be a godsend to other constituents and we can not purge all of them. Learn to live with them or go back into the wilderness for 40 years.

I welcome the demise of the PUBS and DIMS equally, but until that happens, we will continue down the slope into oblivion.

Great post and I agree...whats happening right now today is that alot of republicans were sick and tired of gop Like Mcain fighting for amnesty for illegals which GWBush was for and SO WAS REAGAN..in fact Reagan GAVE amnesty to millions of illegals. They are sick and tired of the Olympia Snows and Susan Collins and Lyndsey Grahams and Spectres, that have given the democrats so many victories that they should never have had and the rest of the rinos....but like you so aptly explained it...we all need to learn to live with some rinos OR live with mostly democrats and then win nothing.
The teaparty and its purist conservative beliefs may seem like a HUGE slice of america..but its not, america is mostly center right.

I believe we are actually slightly center left. We've had almost 80 years of Big Brother and leftist doctrine, we continue to slide a tad farther left each cycle, and now, under Obambam, the slide will be hastened. The mold is set; the die has been cast; things the founders decided were wrong 220 years ago are now sacred policies acceptable by liberal and conservative alike.

No. I did not say that. In fact, I went way the heck out of my way to not say that.  ;)
If you believe big government is the solution then you are a liberal. If you believe big government is the problem then you are a conservative.

Dan

For the record, I did not call Crepe05 a troll. Liberal or otherwise. My reply number 12 in this thread was a response to Solar's reply number 11. Even though I did not put his comment in quotes, I was replying to that post.

In that post he brought up the question of why a liberal troll would try to impersonate someone else. That was the point I was responding to in my post.

Sorry for any confusion that was caused by the lack of my direct quote of the comment I was responding to, but I want to go on the record as stating it was not my intention to call Crepe05 a liberal troll.

Thank you.  :)

Okay, I'll answer what I can remember is posted.  If I forget anyone's question, ask again please.

No, I'm not just having a bad day.  In fact, I like a good argument.

Yes, I'm crepe from another website.  When I first signed up here a few years ago, "crepe" was already taken so I went with crepe05.

I am not a troll, dem or otherwise.

Yes, I'm passionate about politics and a lot of things.

I've been called a RINO in the past and at times I see myself as a RINO.  I don't believe in the rigidity of so many conservatives that I know, either in my politics or my religion.  In marriage, I do   :D

I've bellied up to more than one bar in my lifetime, it used to be bourbon, never had rye,  and now I enjoy one glass of wine for dinner.

My preference is to be called "crepe" but I'll answser to crepe05, miss crepe, ms crepe "crap" and I forget what ed used to call me when he got mad.

I want to defeat dems, not any, and I mean not any, Republican.

Whomever said Reagan was a moderate, thank you.  He was.  He was disliked by many reps of the time.  I admired him from the word go.

I'll agree that there's always the possibility that I misinterpreted what was said.

zip, if they jump on you (which they won't) enjoy it.

I'll answer the PM if someone tells me where it is.  I'll check the other place.

I think that's it.

Dan

OK Crepe05, would you help us out and explain to us where you differ on the issues from Conservatives. From an issues standpoint, what makes you a RINO?

Until we all get a better handle on that one, it's hard to see how we can have a serious conversation.

What do you mean "here", and you always refer to your hubby as "Mr. Crepe" at LNF.  Why now call him by his first name?
#PureBlood #TrumpWon

crepe05

I didn't call mr crepe (note, he doesn't get capitol letters because I don't use them in my name) by his first name on this website.  The name I used was the name of a poster with whom I tangled a lot.  Check it out with others from that other place, if you must.

"here" means "here"this forum. What did you think it meant?  Check it out.  I've been a member "here" for a few years.  I just focused more on the other place.
