Title: Yesterday's Inauguration
Post by: bigmck on January 22, 2013, 10:41:25 AM
Hi Guys -- I am new here and thought I would do a first post. == This inauguration was on TV for about 6 hours yesterday.  I don't remember George W. being on TV that long.  That is too much TV for anything. Does anyone know for a fact how things were in 2004?  Thanks,

Welcome. I don't recall about how it was in 2004, but I can assure you the MSM was not falling all over itself with Bush's inaugaration.

I have heard all sorts of numbers from Bush at 42 million or so to Obama's 150 million plus. We will not know for a while until the W_H does it spin and the media laps it up.

But when it comes to parties an vacation I don't think anyone will ever out do the Obama's.

Welcome....but really who cares how long it was?....The cost ESTIMATES at this point of this glorified minstrel show featuring black people singing and dancing is anywhere from 20Million to 50 Million.

Obamao made it clear with that and his speeches what the priority is and it isn't controlling spending, helping the economy, industry or employment.

I've always considered these things to be a pompous waste of money, regardless of who is elected. Presidents should set an example and get to work, rather than throwing lavish, tax payer funded parties. There was less reason to celebrate this time than ever.

All I can say is that I was reflecting on the 1981 address by Reagan and I was inspired and proud to be an American.  Now, I hear snippits of this idiot and all I want to do is reach in through the radio and punch him in his mouth.

Totally.  I've been listening to some old Reagan clips lately to maintain my sanity....

I read the entire transcript yesterday. It's a masterful speech on socialism and the further bastardization of the US constitution.

He managed to make it sound as if the constitution is a document that pushes collectivism. I'm sure that millions believe it.

You're not alone.  I wish someone would go further but if I posted what I'd like to see... I'd have the Secret Service knocking at my door.
