I heard that today. With Demint heading up THF it might be true. The libs in SC, few as there are, really dislike Demint.

Such sloppy reporting with confusion between assault riffle, assault weapon, and semi-automatic. 

Last week I was talking with my Mom about this shooting, the resulting backlash, and she had no distinction between semi-automatic and assault riffle from reporting like this.  To her, semi-automatic meant big black scary gun.

And that's exactly the message the leftists want to present, it's also why they originally coined it "Ugly Gun Law"
