At this time I prefer Paul over Rubio.

Neither will get the nod from the current GOP establishment though.

IMO.
Rubio has already been embraced by the RINO, that's why he's been on the talk circuit and will deliver the SOTU response.
The bigger question is, will the base swallow it?

I think you will seriously be dissapointed with Paul very soon. As he gets more exposure and has to clarify his positions and overall political world-view you will see he is much closer to sharing most if not all of his fathers philosophy. I think he just knows how to present his ideas more smoothly. I was just reading in-between the lines of his recent statements regarding Iran and after rereading I could swear he is proposing a complete hands off policy as a response to them being nuclear. Just a thought, sorry I dont have links. Actually im suprised to see so much support for him here as it seems pretty clear to me he is more or less a RINO and you guys think everyone is a RINO

Yawn

I think most of us are Libertarian LEANING Conservatives to one degree or another (Conservatarians). Rand Paul is not the same as his father, and certainly not the same brand of Libertarian as Ron Paul's supporters. While I wouldn't support Ron Paul as President, it's his wacko supporters, with their single issue, that do him more damage.

Please educate us on what policies make him a RINO.

So his father is the opposite of RINO, yet Rand aligns more closely with his father, and by this you conclude he will be a disappointment, and from that somehow you deduce he's a RINO?

You may want to eat something, have a cup of coffee and tackle that one again, it makes no logical sense whatsoever.

I hadn't seen explicitly isolationist policy regarding Iran having nukes, and would welcome your link to that topic, hoosier.

As for your comment that
Quoteyou guys think everyone is a RINO
That is not true. Solar for example is a California conservative, directly equivalent to a Michigan moderate---harshly and obviously unfairly judged by the backwater provincial, narrow mindset of all us Midwestern true conservatives. Compared to me he's a RINO. But he does make up for ....

Oh, wait. Who in hell am I replying to here again?.....

Hell, Quill is so damned far right that when Columbus started west ( left ) he went the other way and was here waiting when Columbus landed.

And if those damned printers hadn't been unionized and on-strike when Chris landed, we'd've made a fortune selling them maps to the New World.
