Will Trump be able to work better with Speaker Pelosi?

I think Paul Ryan is  just trying to sabotage Trump. I think the VAT or  border adjustment tax  he  is insisting  on is  just a ruse to split reps  on tax cuts. He botched up health care repeal. If Ryan doesnt deliver on these  2 issues this year then we will have Speaker Pelosi and  i have a feeling alot will get done though none  of it will be pleasant for conservatives. Though to be fair  its not as if conservative legislation is being passed  now.

Ryan is truly turning out to be a terrible Speaker. It does seem he is purposely working against Trump.

He will deliver the house to Pelosi in 2018.

Nah, even Ryan can't resuscitate the Dim party, they're done for an entire generation.

Dream away. The House is safely under Republican mismanagement. There are more seats up for grabs than you can possibly upset through GOP scandals.

Just curious, why are you under the illusion that there is still a viable Dim party?
There was a time when a two party system kept things in check, this was good, but that was the 50s.
Now the left sees a chance in achieving their agenda via the GOP'e, so sadly we're still in the same boat, minus a second party to contend with.

You underestimate those (probable majority) voters who simply vote the other party in, every few years, just like they change their underwear. These Dems are the diarrhea of politics. A triple-pack of Dependz and three fistfuls of moist-wipes is definitely not going to clean the BIPARTISAN mess here.

I'd say the Senate will change in 2026 and the House finally changing about 2028 if not sooner dependent upon any current Trump scandals real or purported. The GOP will sooner disband than back Ted Cruz, so I predict they'll do the old It's-My-Turn seniority trick and offer up some Paleolithic pile of crap they EXPECT to lose after one hugely-disastrous Trump term (or so they've self-convinced).

Won't they be surprised by the end of Term 1. By then Ginsburg and Stevens will probably be gone, replaced by RINOs like Roberts but still better than Earl Warren. North Korea will be a glowing glass hole, Nikki Haley will finally tell Rex Tillerson EXACTLY where to stick his directives on clearing things with him first...and all will be well in  the world.

As to topic: one TOLERATES Pelosi. One cannot WORK with Pelosi. One cannot screw one's head into that twisted and empty a space.

Nope. The Dims not only lost 30% of their base, they drove them away permanently.
The Dim party has one option if they want to resuscitate the party, and that's, lose the divisive nature of the party, concentrate on expanding Liberties, but that would mean admitting their Marxist push was a mistake, so it'll probably never happen.

So what do they do instead? Try and out Marxist one another, yeah, they're pushing each other further left.
No, that party has to completely disintegrate first and be rebuilt from its ashes, because there is no appeal for Marxism.

Your point is well made that in spite of themselves the dems are in full self-destruct mode and will save the GOP.. Pelosi killed off the Blue Dogs and the likes of Waters, Jackson Lee and numerous other mind numbed lib dems in house are completing the suicide.

It really is a tragic comedy when you list the actors, with old favorites like "Theyse waaaay tooo much Consuuuumin goin onn, or "Guam will capsize", or "We need to nationalize oil".
Nah, I don't see any chance of a resurgence considering the brain trust they have to work with.

Just as an aside, think about the 2010 census. If the GOP can hold onto all the statehouses and governorships they have picked up since Obama the redistricting will not be happy days for democrats.

You can bet there is a shitload of deal making going on, as to who retains power.
Remember what the GOP'e gop'E did to West, but he is a Conservative, so he had to go, but there's a lot of Dims willing to do what it takes to retain power and doing as the Establishment wants, aligns with their views anyway.

Ya know, it's kind of sweet, like when Reagan defeated the USSR, only to have the Commies invade the West like cancer.
The GOP defeated the Dims, only to find out our party is infected with a bunch of leftists.

Illusion? Didnt reps just  blink once again on a gvt shutdown? Though i suppose they would cower in fear if there were  only  3 democrats  in congress they threatened a shutdown. Lets also not forget the rep party was decimated  in 2006 and  08 but had a huge  victory  in 2010. I dont think its hard to imagine dems winning 35-40 house seats  in 2018 when there will be no reason for a rep to bother to vote unless the pig Ryan gets off his ass and does something.

Don't know, to gain seats in congress the dims HAVE TO SHOW SOMETHING. It aint there, this really puts it into perspective: http://www.nationalreview.com/article/447197/trumps-first-100-days-democrats-have-little-despite-bluster
Put that in with the fact that dems tend to have less support for mid terms and I don't see them taking over the house. As for the senate, they have to defend 20+ seats just to stay a minority.

Fixed it.  He needs to go like yesterday.
